Napoli chief dismisses Hamsik PSG link
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has dismissed reports that PSG could be set to swoop for Marek Hamsik this summer, revealing the playmaker has penned a one-year contract extension at the Stadio San Paolo.
The Slovakia star has previously been linked with Chelsea and Milan, with big-spending PSG the latest side to be tipped to make a move.
However, De Laurentiis said he expects Hamsik will respect his contract, which now runs until 2016, and also took the opportunity to take a swipe at the cultural differences between Paris and Naples.
"Hamsik is an educated and polite person," De Laurentiis told Sky Sport Italia . "When he was 20 he seemed as if he was 30, he has a splendid family and has shown his commitment to our cause by signing a contract until 2016."
"PSG have a lot of money, they have a coach [Carlo Ancelotti] of value, but they still have to prove that they can win.
"I don't want to create a diplomatic incident here, but Neapolitans are much more fun. In Paris, people are busy with their own egos."
