Ligue 1 side Sochaux have ruled out a January exit for midfield sensation Marvin Martin.
Martin, a France international, has been heavily linked with Arsenal in recent months, while some of La Liga's top clubs are also understood to be interested in his services. However, Sochuax president Alexandre Lacombe insists the 23-year-old will be going nowhere until at least next summer.
"Marvin Martin will not leave during the winter market," Lacombe told RMC. "That is not our wish, nor the player's wish.
"Marvin is not at his usual level right now and he has a lot at stake. I told him on the day of his return that there will never be good players at mediocre clubs. It is necessary that our collective results get much better so that everyone can reap the rewards."
Martin signed a contract extension with Sochaux last September, reportedly with a view to a 2012 transfer to allow the club to recoup a respectable fee for him.
