Bani Yas, runners-up in the league last season, completed the signing of the 33-year-old former World Cup winner on a one-year deal reportedly worth £1.7 million.
"The deal for Trezeguet is not for the gain of the Baniyas Club alone - it is also a win for UAE football,'' Baniyas vice chairman Saif Khaili said.
Trezeguet, who counts Juventus and Monaco among his former clubs, was available on a free transfer after being released by Spanish club Hercules at the end of last season.
