Damiao, 22, is said to have attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Porto this summer after some impressive showings for his club, but Internacional president Giovanni Luigi has told Radio Gaucha a deal is unlikely.

"I will only sell him in case an abnormal offer comes along," he said. "Right now, we understand it is still soon for him to leave. Damiao's price has gone up every week, after every game."

Spurs are reported to be planning a £16 million bid for Damiao.
