Hammers in talks over Green deal
August 15, 2011
West Ham have offered goalkeeper Robert Green a new four-year contract to persuade him to stay at Upon Park.

Green, 31, is in the final year of his £25,000-a-week contract and up until now it was not expected that he would sign another deal at Upton Park.
After relegation, co-owner David Gold believed the club would struggle to keep any of their England stars in the Championship and Green was thought to be one of the most likely to quit the Hammers.
However, a source told ESPNsoccernet: "We are currently in negotiations to give Robert Green a new four-year contract."
