Maicon's agent does not believe the Inter Milan wing-back will be used in a swap deal this summer.
Reports have suggested Maicon could be used in a part-exchange plus cash deal for Manchester City forward Carlos Tevez. Real Madrid have also long-been linked with the Brazilian.
But the 30-year-old's agent, Antonio Caliendo, has told IlSussidiario.net: "It's a year that we have been talking about this. The transfer market runs at such a speed that things can change from one day to another.
"One thing is for sure, Inter chief Massimo Moratti has no intention of accepting a Real player as part of a Maicon sale. The president wants just cash.
"It's hard to say how much. Last year he rejected a €25 million offer. If the same offer arrived this year I think he'd sell, but I'm not the one who sets the price. Inter will do that.
"Maicon has a good relationship with [former Inter boss Jose] Mourinho. But I don't think president Florentino Perez is convinced about spending so much money on a player who has won a lot, but is no longer that young."
