Matches in the first and second division have also been called off after a bombing in Oslo and mass shootings at a youth camp on an island near the capital, where scores of people were gunned down.

A statement from the Norwegian Football Federation said: "Out of respect for all of those affected by the catastrophe, the NFF have decided to postpone all scheduled matches.''

Molde FK, managed by Manchester United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, are currently top of the Norwegian top flight, three points ahead of Tromso having played one game more.
