Napoli have signed Italian midfielder Marco Donadel on a four-year contract.

Donadel joins the club as a free agent after spending six seasons at Fiorentina.

Donadel said: "I am very happy to wear the Napoli colours and to have the chance to play in a historic and prestigious stadium like the San Paolo.

"I can't wait to start this new adventure, to meet my new team-mates and be available for the coach.''

The move will allow the 28-year-old to play in the Champions League next season. Napoli qualified for Europe's elite club competition after a third-placed finish in Serie A.
