Mathieu Flamini believes he will be offered a new contract by AC Milan as he enters the final year of his current deal.

Flamini, who joined Milan from Arsenal on a free transfer in 2008, made 22 appearances in the league for the Serie A champions, with five starts in the Champions League last term.

He told Corriere dello Sport: "It is my intention to remain at this club and extend my agreement with Milan.

"There is no rush though, we will speak in the future when the right time has arrived.

"After winning the League title this year, I want to try to win the Champions League next."
