Behrami knows Swiss face tough task
Valon Behrami believes Switzerland face an uphill task when they visit Wembley on Saturday in a Euro 2012 qualifier.
The Swiss have won just one game in qualifying, at home to Wales, and have already suffered a 3-1 defeat to England on their own soil last September. Their hopes of qualifying for the finals are all but over, and a loss at Wembley will put the final nail in the coffin.
Behrami is not relishing the game against England, and he feels Fabio Capello's men will be firm favourites.
Behrami said: "We didn't have great results in the last year, in this group as well. We need something important after the win against Spain in the World Cup. This was the last big feeling we had, all the people, all the fans, all the journalists.
"So we're looking for something new, something special, like maybe getting a good result here in England.
"We know they can hurt us. Definitely, England are favourites. We are not going to take the game to them. We know they will have most of the ball so we will defend and then try to take our chances.
"I don't know if it's ever a good time to face England with the form they're in. You never know who will come up with a great game. They have fantastic players who play week in, week out in England - you can see the quality they have.
"They haven't conceded many goals and it's going to be a very difficult game for Switzerland. We will try to create a few chances and make a surprise.
"They've got so many players that you can never smile at an England team. I think the level of England football is such that, even if two or three of the strikers are not there, they have so many players that can come in and yet keep the same level.
"I think we need to be lucky as well. We need to give 100% and maybe hope that England have a bad day. Maybe they can underestimate us. We hope that is the case.
"Also, it's the last game of the season. A lot of England players have played in so many games, with the Premier League and the Champions League - maybe they can be tired as well.
"If that's the case then we hope to do something special.''
