England completed their preparations for the World Cup in Germany with a 2-0 victory over Sweden at the Kassam Stadium in Oxford.

The first half ended goalless but Everton's Jill Scott put England in front from a Rachel Yankey corner 10 minutes into second half.

Karen Carney of Birmingham added a second from the penalty spot in the final warm-up match for Hope Powell's team before the World Cup, which begins next month. Powell will name her final squad for the tournament on Friday, June 10.

England have been drawn in Group B alongside Japan, Mexico and New Zealand.
