A winding up petition against Sheffield Wednesday was dismissed at the High Court after the Owls paid their tax debts in full.
Wednesday have been saved from possible administration after the £9 million takeover of the club by Milan Mandaric.
The Serbian-born businessman settled the club's outstanding £1.1 million debt to Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC).
Catherine Addy, representing HMRC, told Mr Registrar Jaques that the debt had been paid in full and asked for the petition to be dismissed.
