Mexico to play Bosnia, Portugal

NEW YORK -- Mexico will play Bosnia-Herzegovina at Chicago's Soldier Field on June 3 and three days later face Portugal at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., in its final exhibition game before heading to the World Cup in Brazil.

Also, Portugal will prepare for its World Cup matchup against the United States by playing Ireland in an exhibition game at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium on June 10.

The games were announced Friday the Mexican Football Federation and the Soccer United Marketing affiliate of Major League Soccer.

Mexico previously announced a May 31 match against Ecuador at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

El Tri has six games scheduled in the U.S. this year. It defeated South Korea on Jan. 29 at San Antonio, plays Nigeria in March at Atlanta and faces the U.S. on April 2 at Glendale, Ariz.

Portugal, which feature FIFA player of the year Cristiano Ronaldo, open the World Cup against Germany on June 16, face the United States six days later and close the first round against Ghana on June 26.
