Thiago Silva says Paris Saint-Germain will welcome Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard “with open arms” if he ever decides to join the Ligue 1 champions.

Hazard has been in excellent form of late and hit a hat trick on Saturday as the Blues ran out 3-0 winners at home to Newcastle to move top of the Premier League.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has stated that the Belgium international is the leading young player in world football, and Thiago Silva feels he would be a great addition to the PSG squad if he were ever to make the move to Paris.

"He's a player I adore. Technically, tactically, he's very good,” the PSG captain, who scored an own goal during Sunday's 1-1 draw with Monaco, told 20 minutes.

“All great players are welcome at PSG. At PSG, we need players like Hazard to achieve this project of winning everything in the coming years.

“If he decides to come, the squad will welcome him with open arms, as they have done for all new recruits."

Hazard, who has scored 14 goals for Chelsea this season, is a boyhood PSG fan, while there was speculation he would join the French side in the summer of 2012, when he moved to Stamford Bridge from Lille.
