Fellaini, Evans still out for United
United prepare for Fulham
Manchester United have suffered a double injury blow with Marouane Fellaini ruled out for another week and Jonny Evans sitting out Sunday’s game against Fulham.
Evans, who suffered a calf problem in the opening minutes of last Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Stoke, is sidelined but his central-defensive partner Phil Jones, who also came off at the Britannia Stadium with concussion, will be fit to face Rene Meulensteen’s side.
Midfielder Fellaini, who has not played since December’s defeat to his former club Everton because of a back injury and wrist surgery, sustained a groin problem in training and will also miss Wednesday’s trip to Arsenal.
Moyes said: “Marouane picked up a groin injury in training which will probably rule him out for another week possibly. His wrist injury is much improved, but he just felt his groin after training one day this week. We’ll keep an eye on him for a few days.
“Jonny Evans isn't available but there is a good chance Jones could make it. He has trained today [Friday] and we’ll see how he is.”
Captain Nemanja Vidic will be available again after a three-match ban while winger Nani is still injured.
