Maiga, Rat both leave West Ham

West Ham have confirmed that striker Modibo Maiga and left-back Razvan Rat both left the club on Friday before the transfer deadline.

Maiga joined Queens Park Rangers on loan for the rest of the season.

The 26-year-old Maiga scored once in 14 league games this season, but he has not played since Andy Carroll recovered from his lingering foot injury this month.

Maiga, a Mali international joined the Hammers 2012 after a stints at Sochaux and Le Havre in Ligue 1.

West Ham released Rat just six months into his time at Upton Park.

Rat's contract was terminated by mutual consent.

Rat had played well for Shakhtar Donetsk but struggled in 20 appearances for the Hammers.

West Ham did bring in wing-back Pablo Armero on loan from Napoli.
