Marvin Emnes will return to Swansea City after agreeing to a loan deal from Middlesbrough late Friday night.
Emnes, 25, previously spent a month with the Swans during the 2010-11 campaign, when he scored twice in four league games, including the winning goal in the Welsh derby at Cardiff City.
The Dutch striker scored once in 21 appearances in the Championship this season, often coming off in the second half for a substitute.
Emnes joined Middlesbrough in 2008 after three seasons at Sparta Rotterdam.
The deal, which Swansea announced on their offical club website, remains subject to approval from the Premier League.
