Joleon Lescott has said he had no intention of leaving Manchester City following reports of a move to West Ham United.
A number of British newspapers, including the Telegraph, had reported West Ham were keen to add Lescott, 31, to their squad during the transfer window.
The defender, who joined City from Everton for 22 million pounds in 2009, has made just seven Premier League starts this season, but has insisted he is committed to the league leaders.
A loan move was never on the cards for me it had nothing to do with wages just simply a chance to win 4 trophy's with #City this season— Joleon Lescott (@JoleonLescott) January 31, 2014
I've played enough PL games already to get a medal if we win the league and every minute of the league/FA cup runs should we win them.— Joleon Lescott (@JoleonLescott) January 31, 2014
