West Ham snag Armero
Cardiff have completed the signing of Manchester United defender Fabio on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had already boosted his squad with the addition of Kenwyne Jones, Magnus Wolff Eikrem, Mats Moller Daehli and Jo Inge Berget since succeeding Malky Mackay as Bluebirds boss, while United winger Wilfried Zaha has also joined on loan for the rest of the season.
And Cardiff announced the signing of the Brazilian international full-back, who will wear squad No. 35 and will be immediately available for selection ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash with Norwich City.
Speaking on the move, the 23-year old told the Cardiff website: “I’m very excited to be part of this and I’m looking forward to helping Cardiff. I was at Old Trafford on Tuesday -- supporting Cardiff but hoping that my brother did well too, of course! “I know this is the right move for me. I spoke a lot to the Manager about coming in and I know that I can help us move up the division.”
Cardiff also confirmed that winger Craig Conway, who scored the goal which sealed the Bluebirds' Championship title triumph at Burnley, has joined Blackburn on a two-and-a-half year deal.
Just before the deadline, Cardiff announced that Andreas Cornelius has returned to FC Copenhagen for an undisclosed fee.
