ESPN FC: Last of Arsenal at the top?
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Jack Wilshere will miss Sunday’s game at home to Crystal Palace through injury, but says he could return for the trip to Liverpool the following Saturday.

There had been fears that the England international midfielder had done further damage to the right ankle that kept him sidelined for 17 months.
However, Wenger has said Wilshere could be in contention for Anfield on Feb. 8.
“We have good news,” he told Arsenal’s official website. “For Sunday he will be short, but he has a chance to be available for the week after at Liverpool.”
Arsenal’s injury list was added to earlier in the week when Aaron Ramsey suffered a recurrence of the thigh injury he sustained against West Ham on Jan. 26.
The Wales international failed to make the squad for the draw at Southampton, and reports suggested he could be out for another six weeks.
While Wenger refused to confirm exactly how long the Gunners will be without Ramsey, he said he would be sidelined for the foreseeable future.
“Ramsey will be out for longer because he had a setback and it doesn't look too good,” he explained. “It is matter of some weeks for him.”
Arsenal are also set to lose Mathieu Flamini for three games after he was sent off against Southampton, but Wenger revealed that Tomas Rosicky will be available for Sunday after undergoing nose surgery.
