Poland international Blaszczykowski  -- known by the nickname "Kuba" – was taken off and will be assessed later this weekend with suspected damage to his Anterior Cruciate Ligament.

Mats Hummels, Neven Subotic, Lukasz Piszczek and Ilkay Gundogan are already sidelined with injuries, leaving the club short as they return from the winter break.
