Brooks twisted his knee in training on Monday and Hertha have announced that he is now set to spend between 10 and 14 days on the sidelines, which will prevent him taking part in the training camp in Belek, Turkey.

The 20-year-old made a total of 29 appearances for Hertha last season as they earned promotion to the top-flight, but he has so far struggled to adapt to Bundesliga standards despite Hertha’s impressive season.

Brooks, who made his USMNT debut against Bosnia-Herzegovina in August last year, had hoped to ensure his place in Jurgen Klinsmann’s World Cup squad this season but, having been hampered by several injuries, Brooks has been unable to produce his best form and has made only eight appearances.
