Carlos Tevez is expected to return to the Juventus line-up against Roma on Sunday after travelling back to Italy from his native Argentina.

Tevez had been given permission to spend an extra few days back home, with his wife in the final stages of her pregnancy.

The Bianconeri had been preparing to send a trainer to Argentina, but Tevez arrived back in Turin for training on Wednesday.

He is now expected to feature in Antonio Conte's attack in the weekend’s top-of-the-table clash.

"I want to thank everybody for the support and thanks also to Lili and my parents for being close to me in this difficult time," Tevez wrote on Twitter.

"It was hard leaving my family behind in Buenos Aires and spending New Year on a plane, knowing that not everything was fine, but I have a wife of steel and children so strong that they give me the strength to come to Turin to train and to prepare myself for Sunday.

"I love them and thank them for giving me strength. Happy New Year, one and all!"

With Tevez back and Andrea Pirlo set for a return after a month out injured, Conte can go into Sunday's match with a full-strength side as Juve look to open up an eight-point cushion at the top with a tenth straight Serie A win.
