McGlinchey clinches winner

December 31, 2013
By PA Sport

Michael McGlinchey's injury-time goal gave the Central Coast Mariners a winning end to 2013 as they beat Perth Glory 2-1.

The New Zealander's strike settled a tight contest and came just seconds after Glory midfielder Jacob Burns had been dismissed for dissent. It was a bitter pill to swallow for Perth who only equalised in the 84th minute, with Steve McGarry's penalty cancelling out Trent Sainsbury's 12th-minute opener for the home side.

Central Coast end the year in fourth place, with Perth third from bottom.
