Dyer, 26 opened the scoring for the Swans with a flick from a long ball, before sustaining the injury in a challenge with Canaries defender Sebastien Bassong.

The former Southampton player left the pitch on a stretcher after receiving oxygen, with his leg in a splint.

But Swansea later tweeted:

After the game, Swansea manager Michael Laudrup said: "You just go from playing one second to being out for you don't know how long.

"We will wait to see the x-ray and then in a couple of days have an MRI scan to know if it is bad or really bad. Let's wait and see, hoping that, if it is bad, it is not too bad."
