Messi junior has gone over 300 Primera Division minutes without scoring, his longest domestic barren run in over two years, and said himself after a subdued performance in Friday's 1-0 win over Espanyol that he was “not at 100 percent” at the moment.

Speaking ahead of Barca's Champions League group clash with AC Milan on Wednesday evening at the Camp Nou, Jorge Messi told Radio Barcelona that his son was being careful not to take too many risks following his recent string of muscle injuries, but said there was no need for any real worries.

“The injuries have meant that Leo really fears a relapse,” Messi senior said. “But you can be relaxed, he will return.”
