Henrique's brace after 48 and 65 minutes set the hosts on their way, with defender Matthew Smith wrapping things up 13 minutes from time.

The win lifts Brisbane one point clear at the summit while Melbourne remain without a victory this season after four attempts.

On Saturday, Perth Glory overcame Sydney FC 1-0 to remain within touching distance of the table's summit.
