Four key players sat out Manchester United's training session ahead of their Champions League match against Real Sociedad on Wednesday.

Defensive duo Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic, along with Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley, did not train on Tuesday.

Cleverley, Vidic and Ferdinand all missed United's 1-1 draw with Southampton at Old Trafford on Saturday, and United manager David Moyes could be without them again.

However, Adnan Januzaj -- who committed his future to the club by signing a new five-year contract on Saturday -- took part in the training session.

The midfielder has been added to the Champions League squad as a home-grown player.
