Rumours of a meeting between Thomas Mueller and Barcelona last weekend have been rejected by the player’s representatives.

Thomas Mueller has been linked with a move to Barcelona.

A Spanish agent and media pundit, Francois Gallardo, had told Spanish TV show "Punto Pelota" that Mueller, under contract at Bayern until 2017, had acted like any other player in the face of interest from Barca and met the club in the Catalonia, but added that the transfer was unlikely because of the potentially high fee involved.

Mueller is alleged to have made the meeting during two days of special leave granted by Germany coach Joachim Loew after qualification to the 2014 World Cup was sealed.

However, a spokesman for Koegl and Partner, Mueller’s agent, told Eurosport on Friday: "There is nothing to it. That is only a rumour. No further comment."

In his prematch news conference ahead of Saturday's match at home to Mainz, Bayern coach Pep Guardiola added: "I am 100 percent positive that he will stay. No chance [that he will go]."

Mueller becomes the third German to be linked with a switch to the Nou Camp in recent weeks. Borussia Moenchengladbach goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Dortmund centre-back Mats Hummels were also linked with Barca.

While Ter Stegen did not rule out that he could make the switch next summer, Dortmund and Hummels rejected the rumours within a couple of hours.
