Borussia Dortmund have rubbished reports that they have agreed a deal to sell Mats Hummels to Barcelona next summer.

A report in Bild on Wednesday claimed that the defender, 24, has been given the green light to make a 35 million euro move to the Nou Camp with Basel’s Fabian Schaer, 21, lined up as his replacement.
However, Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc told local Dortmund paper Ruhr Nachrichten dismissed the idea, saying: "That is pure nonsense."
During a TV show late on Wednesday, Dortmund CEO Aki Watzke added: "That’s a non-story. There is nothing to it."
Kicker editor Thomas Hennecke, who covers Borussia Dortmund for the German football magazine, also tweeted that the report in Bild is wrong, citing Hummels’ dad and agent Hermann as telling kicker: "There is nothing to it!"
Hummels joined Dortmund on loan from Bayern Munich in 2008, and in 2009 made the move a permanent one, with BVB splashing out some 4.2 million euros on the up-and-coming centre-back.
He has since made over 200 competitive appearances for the club and won 26 caps for Germany. Hummels is currently contracted until 2017, and, according to media reports, Dortmund bought him out of his release clause when they agreed on the current deal in the summer of 2012.
