Ancelotti has previously managed at AC Milan, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, winning league titles with all three as well as two Champions Leagues during his time at the San Siro.

After signing a three-year deal with the nine-time European champions Real during the summer the 54-year-old is undecided on his long-term future beyond that contract, telling Sky Sport Italia that he is not certain to continue coaching.

“A lot of people have asked me about the possibility of coaching Roma or the (Italy) national team in the future,” Ancelotti said. “I don't know -- I could even decide to retire after my experience at Real Madrid.”
