Gaston Ramirez does not get on with Southampton coach Mauricio Pochettino and would consider a move to Napoli, his agent has been quoted as telling Napoli Calcio Live.
Uruguay international Ramirez, 22, made a shock move to Southampton from Bologna in 2012, having attracted interest from an array of top European sides.
However, he was linked with a transfer away from St Mary’s in the summer, with his agent, Pablo Betancourt, refusing to rule out a return to Serie A with Inter Milan.
His agent has now been quoted as telling Napoli Calcio Live: “Napoli is a possibility. Gaston really likes the chairman, Nicola Cortese, but not the coach, Pochettino.”
Former Espanyol boss Pochettino replaced Nigel Adkins as Saints boss in January this year, and has guided the club to fourth place in the Premier League this season, but Ramirez has been unable to force his way into the starting XI.
