Dortmund decide against Klopp appeal
ESPN FC: Don't write off Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund have decided not to appeal against Jurgen Klopp’s ban for their Champions League match against Arsenal.
Dortmund changed their minds about appealing the decision after considering UEFA’s grounds for the judgement on Tuesday.
“My main motive is that I don't want to divert the attention from my wrong behaviour. I stand by my responsibility,” Klopp is quoted as saying on the club’s official website. “I accept the decision with a heavy heart.”
On Oct. 22, in their away game at the Emirates, Klopp’s assistant Zeljko Buva will take control from the sidelines.
And Klopp reiterated his trust in his long-time assistant, saying: “I have full trust in Zeljko Buvac, he is the best coach I ever met in my life.”
