Gervinho has set his sights on claiming the Serie A title with new club AS Roma in his first season since a switch from Arsenal.
• De Martinis: Gervinho steals show
The Ivory Coast international has been in good form for his new club, scoring three times in his last two games, as Roma made it six wins from six with a 5-0 win over Bologna on Sunday.
The Giallorossi have plundered 17 goals so far, conceding just once, and Gervinho, who endured a difficult two seasons in London under Arsene Wenger, thinks they have what it takes to their first title since 2001.
"We can win the Scudetto," the 26-year-old told Corriere dello Sport. "The team is playing very well, and we are compact and determined.
"We have set ourselves the objective of winning Serie A and we won't be satisfied until we achieve that.
"I knew exactly what I was looking for when I joined Roma: the chance to play more, a coach who showed faith in me and a club with high ambitions.
"It is a fun place full of lots of jokes, but there is also a great passion and spirit within the squad, both on and off the field."
Gervinho explained how he had also been heavily influenced by the opportunity to play alongside club legend Francesco Totti, who is still a vital part of the club at the age of 37.
"I never imagined I would be playing alongside [Francesco] Totti," he added. "It is a pleasure to be in the same side as him, and he has already assisted two or three of my goals."
