Mancini relishing Tevez reunion
ESPN FC Extra: New Man at Gala
New Galatasaray boss Roberto Mancini believes Carlos Tevez is only bluffing by not training on Tuesday due to an ankle injury which puts his place at risk for Wednesday night’s Champions League clash between Juventus and the Turkish club.

Just 48 hours after being appointed Galatasaray coach, Mancini has two reunions on Wednesday night: one with Italian football and an old rival from his Inter Milan days, and the other his former player at Manchester City.
That latter reunion risks being ruined by a foul Tevez suffered in the Turin derby at the weekend, after the Argentina forward missed training which could suggest he will not feature at the Juventus Stadium.
His absence from the training field is to be taken with a pinch of salt, though, according to Mancini. "He’s a great player and I don’t think he’ll pass up on this game just because of an ankle niggle," the Italian coach said. "I’m delighted to be meeting Tevez again after three months.
"We’ve always had an extraordinary relationship, winning three titles together at Man City, which I don’t think has ever happened. This is what makes my job so beautiful -- things can happen so quickly which nobody expects, and here I am for a beautiful start in the Champions League against Juventus."
Mancini led his first Galatasaray training session on the field at the Juventus Stadium on Tuesday night and admitted he still does not know what system he will deploy to frustrate the Bianconeri.
"There’s no recipe," he said. "It’s going to be strange for me too. I only met the team yesterday for the first time. It’s not like I have a magic wand. As for the tactics, not even I know yet how we’ll play. We’ll see tomorrow."
