The 19-year-old forward joined United from Universidad de Chile last year but is yet to make his competitive debut for the Premier League champions, although he did score in a pre-season friendly against AIK Solna.

He joined Wigan for the second half of last season and became an FA Cup winner, although he only featured in the third-round tie against Bournemouth.

The Chile international also scored on his Premier League debut for the Latics but never started a game in the division for Roberto Martinez’s side as they were relegated.

Now Henriquez is off to Spain’s Segunda Division for the campaign and could make his Zaragoza debut against Barcelona B on Saturday.

Meanwhile, another of United’s reserve-team players, Belgian right-back Marnick Vermijl, is being tipped to join Dutch club NEC Nijmegen on loan.
