Alessandro Diamanti extends deal

Alessandro Diamanti has signed a five-year contract extension with Serie A side Bologna.

Diamanti, a former West Ham attacking midfielder,  has scored 14 goals for the Rossoblu since joining the club, and his impressive performances in the 2012-13 season earned him a place in Italy's Confederations Cup squad.

A statement published on Bologna's official website read: "Bologna have reached a mutual agreement with Alessandro Diamanti to extend his contract until June 30, 2018."

The 30-year-old has also played for Brescia and Livorno and joined Bologna in 2011.
