Sydney FC has scored a 3-1 win over Serie C side Vicenza Calcio to continue its pre-season tour of Italy.

Goals to Joel Chianese, Sebastian Ryall and Mitch Malia gave the Sky Blues a victory against Vicenza in the city of Jesolo.

Sydney led 2-0 at halftime and despite a goal from Vicenza just after the break, they sealed the victory when Malia scored five minutes from time.

Superstar Alessandro del Piero played 62 minutes of the match before being replaced by coach Frank Farina, to an ovation from the crowd of just over 3,000.

Farina also gave game time to Italian triallists Andrea Migliorini and Vincenzo Italiano during the win.

Sydney FC's next match is against AS Cittadella on Wednesday afternoon (AEST).
