Walcott gave the Gunners an early lead in Finland against the run of play when he chipped the ball over Joe Hart, before turning provider in the second half, setting up goals from Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud.

Ramsey doubled the lead after Giroud dummied Walcott's pass, giving Ramsey the chance to round Hart.

Then Giroud received a long pass from Walcott and lobbed Hart from the edge of the box to add a third goal.

Alvaro Negredo had wasted chances earlier but gave City a consolation goal by holding off Laurent Koscielny and rolling the ball past Lukasz Fabianski.
