Manchester United will assess Jonny Evans and Nani after both were replaced in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with AIK Solna because of minor injuries.
Centre-back Evans sustained an ankle problem and winger Nani struggled with his groin during the match in Stockholm.
And manager David Moyes said both were removed in precautionary moves as United, who are preparing for Sunday’s Community Shield against Wigan, aimed to ensure neither is sidelined.
Moyes told MUTV: "Jonny actually got kneed on the ankle. He thought that he was going to be able to run it off. But if we left him on then it would only have got worse for him.
"Nani just felt his groin tighten up and he didn’t want to take any risks. Neither did we. We thought it was safer to take him off at that time."
Captain Nemanja Vidic had missed the club’s pre-season tour of Asia and Australia because of sciatica but completed the entire game in Sweden, as did Robin van Persie, who has been eased into action.
"[Nemanja] was probably the big thing for us, to get him through the full game," added Moyes. "Robin as well - he got 90 minutes."
