It is reported that Milan will pay €1 million to take the 28-year-old on loan and will have the option to make the deal permanent for €4 million next summer.

"Talks for Silvestre are complete," Galliani, who had earlier said negotiations for Silvestre had broken down, told Sky Sport Italia. "He’ll have his medical with us soon."

Galliani also expressed hope that Milan are making progress in their attempts to sign Keisuke Honda from CSKA Moscow before the expiry of his contract in January.

“There has maybe been some progress. A small step forwards,” he said. “It’s possible we’ll meet the CSKA president in Monaco.”
