PSG coach Laurent Blanc confirmed the move earlier this week, and Gameiro was officially unveiled as a Sevilla player after passing a medical and signing his contract, which contains a €40 million buy-out clause, on Thursday.

The 26-year-old joined PSG in 2011 after bursting onto the scene at FC Lorient, where he scored 56 goals in 120 games. In his two seasons in Paris, he netted 23 goals in 77 games.

He struggled to get regular games last season following the signing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and slipped further down the pecking order at the Parc des Princes with the arrival of Edinson Cavani from Napoli.

He will now look to fill the void left at Sevilla by Spain striker Alvaro Negredo, who has joined Manchester City after scoring 25 La Liga goals last season.
