West Bromwich Albion are seeking £2 million compensation after Chelsea snapped up youngster Isaiah Brown, the Sunday Express reports.
Steve Clarke handed Brown his Premier League debut in May, making him the second youngest player in Premier League history aged just 16 years and 117 days, but Chelsea made their interest known this summer.
A Blues bid was rejected earlier this month, but Brown has been training with the club in recent weeks ahead of the expected switch.
On Friday, Brown confirmed on his Twitter account last week that he had finally completed the switch to Stamford Bridge.
After there has been a lot of talk about my future, I can now official say I am a Chelsea Fc player!!!! Dreams do come true❤— isaiah brown (@izzyjaybrown) July 19, 2013
The Baggies will now seek compensation for the player.
West Brom’s sporting and technical director, Richard Garlick, had earlier warned: “we are more than prepared for the matter to be decided by a tribunal if needs be.”
