Juventus forward Carlos Tevez has said he will "run more than in England" as he attempts to help the club to a third straight Scudetto and success in Europe next season.

Speaking at Juve's summer training camp in Chatillon, the €9 million signing from Manchester City told reporters: "I'm here to work hard. I realised after half a training session that I will run more here in Italy than in England.

"I've joined a club who are ready to play for a historic third straight Scudetto, and one also capable of challenging for the Champions League."

Tevez received a rapturous reception from the Juventus fans present at the Bianconeri's first public training session of the summer. Fellow new arrivals Fernando Llorente and Angelo Ogbonna were also given warm ovations - but Tevez was the man everyone wanted to see and hear.

Juve have given Tevez the No. 10 shirt previously worn by club legends Alessandro Del Piero and Michel Platini, but he insisted: "That doesn't weigh me down. It makes me feel important to receive such affection."

Arturo Vidal also expressed his dedication to the cause after being linked with a move to Real Madrid, saying: "It was an honour to learn about Real's interest in me, but I am delighted to be at Juventus.

"I told the Spaniards that I feel at home here. I have no intention of leaving."
