Sevilla have agreed a deal with Club Brugge to take Colombian striker Carlos Bacca to the Sanchez Pizjuan as a replacement for Alvaro Negredo, reports Spanish daily Marca.

According to the newspaper, Bacca has long been “an obsession” for Sevilla’s sporting director Monchi and it seems that after agreeing a €7 million fee with the Belgian club, Sevilla finally have their man.

The move suggests that Negredo is a step closer to a dream move to the Premier League, but Sevilla president Jose Maria Del Nido claimed that the Andalusian club has received “no offer” from Manchester City for the striker.

“They haven’t made us a single offer and as far as I'm aware Negredo is training with Sevilla and he still has three years remaining on his contract,” Del Nido said in a press conference at the presentation of new signing Nico Pareja.

“Negredo has his ticket for the pre-season tour on the Costa Ballena (southwest) and he has already been assigned his room number."

However, despite Del Nido’s insistence that no official bid has yet come in for 27-year-old Negredo, there is widespread belief in Spain that an offer from City is imminent.
