Ibrahimovic will stay at PSG, says agent
Zlatan Ibrahimovic's agent has told RMC his client will be a Paris Saint-Germain player next season.
After signing a three-year deal when moving from AC Milan to the French capital last summer, Ibrahimovic finished his maiden campaign in France as Ligue 1's top scorer and a title winner. However, constant media speculation suggested he was set to return to Serie A, a hypothesis that gained credence with the request of coach Carlo Ancelotti to leave PSG this summer.
Ibrahimovic has spoken glowingly of Ancelotti's abilities and of his hope the Italian will stay, but Mino Raiola, the player's representative since the Swedish forward's Ajax days, insisted his client will be at the Parc des Princes come September regardless of who is in charge.
"Zlatan is going to continue next year. He's very happy in Paris," he said. "He's won the title, scored goals. He did his work. He did what he had to do, everything that he'd promised. He has a good relationship with Carlo Ancelotti, but Zlatan has always had good relations with his coaches, apart from [Barcelona coach Pep] Guardiola. It's a shame, but it happens."
