Thiago Silva has revealed he will talk to Paris Saint-Germain team-mate Zlatan Ibrahimovic "about [their] future" when the Swede returns from his holiday.

While Ibrahimovic, 31, can now lie back and sun himself after scoring twice in Sweden's World Cup qualifying win over the Faroe Islands on Tuesday, Silva, 28, will have a truncated summer break as he prepares to lead Brazil into the Confederations Cup.

However, with the future of PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti, who has asked to leave the club this summer, still uncertain, the Selecao captain plans to discuss his own plans with the man who joined him in the French capital from AC Milan less than a year ago.

"We haven't spoken a lot since the end of the season. He's on holiday, and I call him less because he needs to rest. But I speak a lot to him. We're certainly going to speak about our future because it's something which is very important for us," the PSG captain told Sky Italia.

Both players have stated their admiration for Ancelotti, who turned 54 on Monday, but indicated they will not necessarily follow the Italian, who has requested to be freed from the last year of his contract at the Parc des Princes, out of the door.

That likelihood was reinforced by PSG sporting director Leonardo, who insisted that neither player would leave the club this summer.

Silva, though, has been strongly linked to Barcelona, while Ibrahimovic has been the subject of media speculation claiming he is poised for speedy return to Serie A.
