Mats Hummels is in doubt for next week's Champions League final after suffering a hamstring injury during Borussia Dortmund's 2-1 defeat to Hoffenheim on Saturday.

Hummels, 24, was unable to play on after giving away the penalty which allowed Hoffenheim to equalise and Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp admits it will be a "tight" decision for him to consider Hummels' inclusion in the final against Bayern Munich.

"His ankle is a bit swollen. There is a chance for Wembley, but it will be tight," Klopp told the Dortmund website.

Klopp, however, received better news with Mario Gotze to resume training on Tuesday as he continues to recover from the hamstring tear he sustained during the semi-final against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.

Meanwhile, Bayern's Holger Badstuber is also unlikely to feature at Wembley, with the defender sustaining a second rapture of his cruciate ligaments while returning from the same injury he suffered in December.

Badstuber is likely to require a length spell on the sidelines to return to full fitness and Bayern director of sport Matthias Sammer insists he will not be rushed back into action.

"Obviously, we'll give him all the time in the world to get fit. We're optimistic. I'm confident he'll be back, stronger than ever," Sammer told the club's website.
