The agent of Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has dismissed speculation linking the Belgium international with a move to the Serie A.
Mignolet has been one of the outstanding performers in a struggling Black Cats side that only secured its Premiership survival when Arsenal recently beat Wigan 4-1.
And the 25-year-old’s form has courted rumoured interest from Italian clubs, including Napoli.
But Mignolet’s agent, Kristof Vandersmissen told tuttomercatoweb.com he believes his client’s long term future is with Sunderland.
"Napoli interested in Mignolet? I have also read this news, but personally I have had no contact with Napoli or any other Italian clubs," Vandersmissen said.
"Simon has a contract for another two years with Sunderland and it's normal that clubs are interested. That is proof that he is doing well.
"However, I repeat, he has a contract with Sunderland."
