Montreal to face Whitecaps in final

The Montreal Impact will face the Vancouver Whitecaps in the Canadian Championship final after both teams won the second legs of their semifinals on Wednesday night.

Marco Di Vaio scored twice and the Impact beat Toronto FC 6-0.

Montreal rallied after losing the first leg 2-0 last week in Toronto. Andres Romero, Andrew Wenger, Justin Mapp and Daniele Paponi also scored for Montreal.

Vancouver beat FC Edmonton 2-0 for a 5-2 aggregate victory.

Corey Hertzog scored in the 58th minute with a 35-yard strike. Nine minutes later, Edmonton's Shaun Saiko headed a corner kick into the net for an own goal.

The winner of the two-leg final advances to the CONCACAF Champions League.
